Student Evaluation: Interactive Classroom
Crossroads BTSA activities for May 2012:
Dear Year Two Participating Teachers,You're in the home stretch! Only one more month left of BTSA and six weeks of school. Can you believe it!? Please read through this brief, but informative message for our BTSA happenings in May.
Self-Assessment
During April, you should have completed self-assessments for both CSTP and Induction Standards (E-2.1, E-2.5, E-2.6, E-2.6a, E-2.6b). All of these self-assessments should be done with the assistance of your Consulting Teacher. Here are instructions on what to do for each:E-2.1 Self-Assessment End of Inquiry #3
Complete column 3 by marking the standards for which you have evidence. Evidence codes are at the bottom of the document. This is a PDF document and must be printed from the website using the blue folder on the front page (see above!). You can modify and save your changes to a file, however, which is recommended. When you are finished completing column 3 only, you can either print your self-assessment out and place it under the Toolbox tab or show the saved PDF Binder Reviewer from your computer.
E-2.5 through E-2.6b Induction Standards Self-Assessment
- Add to the evidence portion of each document with new evidence. You may use bullet-points. Evidence codes are at the bottom of each document. These can be found under Module C online under the PT login.
- Describe
your strengths and challenges related to each of the categories using
the prompts as your guide. Do only
the Final
Self-Assessment date/comments boxes.
Binder Reviews
Prior to May 29, you'll complete your final Binder Review. Please conduct a practice review with your CT prior to this meeting, as it dramatically reduces the amount of time you'll need to spend revising documents or adding to your binder following your actual Review. If you have not already signed up on PDExpress, please do so! Please bring your binder (for student evidence you'll share) and a printed copy of D-1 Culminating Questions and Reflections Guide. This will help you in your table group discussions. Know about your various inquiries, how students use and learn through technology in your class, and how you differentiate instruction for all students, including special populations (GATE/special education) and English Learners.
Remember, in addition to your CT, I am here to support you, too. If you need anything at all, just give me a call or an email.
Congratulations to you! You're nearly done!
